MEET GUIDA
My name is Guida de Gois, and I am 58 years old. I am a professional matchmaker and founder of Love Alchemist Matchmaking.
My journey into matchmaking did not begin in a classroom — it began through life experience, heartbreak, healing, personal growth, and ultimately, rediscovering purpose.
Growing up, I witnessed both great love and great heartbreak within my own family. My father adored my mother deeply, but after she suffered a devastating stroke and became bedridden for four years, our family experienced tremendous emotional pain. Watching my father struggle emotionally had a profound impact on me, yet it also taught me something important very early in life — love still matters, even during life’s most difficult seasons.
I later built a successful career in corporate sales and marketing, where I learned invaluable lessons about communication, relationships, emotional intelligence, and human behaviour. Corporate life teaches you many things — including how to become an unofficial therapist some days!
Yet while my professional life appeared successful, my personal life was far more complicated. I experienced several difficult relationships and was jokingly referred to as “the runaway bride” after four broken engagements. At one stage, I honestly thought I deserved a loyalty programme for failed fiancés! But through those experiences, I came to understand the importance of emotional healing, self-worth, boundaries, and genuine compatibility.
Despite the setbacks, I never completely gave up on love. Then, when I least expected it, I met my soulmate — someone who transformed my understanding of healthy partnership, emotional safety, and authentic love. We have now been happily married for almost eight years.
Then came another major turning point in my life.
At the age of 57, I was told I was “too old” to return to the corporate world. After dedicating most of my life to building experience and working hard, hearing those words was devastating. I found myself questioning my future and purpose.
Then one morning, while sitting in my office feeling emotional yet strangely inspired, I felt a deep shift within myself. Something simply told me my life was about to change — and looking back now, I truly believe the universe was gently redirecting my path!
Shortly afterwards, I discovered professional matchmaking, and something immediately resonated with me. For the first time in a long time, I felt genuinely excited and inspired again.
That was the beginning of Love Alchemist Matchmaking — a business created from my own life experiences, healing journey, and passion for helping others find meaningful connection.

What makes my matchmaking approach different is my focus on spiritually aligned relationships. I believe that without spiritual alignment, matchmaking can easily become surface-level guesswork.
My goal is not simply to introduce people, but to help them reconnect with who they truly are so they can build authentic, emotionally healthy, and lasting partnerships.

Bianca is a fashion designer and stylist whose work is rooted in the philosophy of unconditional self-love and intentional living. Her approach to fashion goes beyond aesthetics, using design and personal styling as tools for self-expression, confidence, and alignment.
Driven by purpose and authenticity, Bianca creates and styles with the belief that what we wear should honor who we are—without compromise. Her work reflects a thoughtful balance of creativity, consciousness, and individuality, inspiring people to embrace themselves fully.
Fluent in German, Bianca brings a culturally aware, globally minded perspective to her work, allowing her to connect meaningfully across diverse creative and professional spaces.
MEET CLAIRE
MSc in Critical Research Psychology, Jungian-trained Depth Facilitator, and Yoga & Health Instructor
She brings a unique blend of science, soul, and grounded guidance to Love Alchemist Matchmaking.
She works with high-value professionals and clients over 45, helping them navigate the complexities of modern relationships. Claire supports clients in recognising and transforming recurring relationship patterns, strengthening communication, and building genuine confidence in dating and partnership.
Through a holistic and highly personalised approach, Claire helps clients uncover unconscious habits and emotional blocks that may be limiting connection. Her work also focuses on aligning relationships with lifestyle and personal values, allowing clients to show up authentically and with clarity.
Whether exploring past relationship experiences, behavioural patterns, or self-expression, Claire offers compassionate, practical strategies that empower clients to attract meaningful, lasting relationships.
MEET KARIEN
Karien is a Cape Town–based international documentary wedding and lifestyle photographer, established in 2015. Known for her refined, emotive style, she creates imagery that is both artful and deeply intentional.
Her work spans maternity, birth and Fresh 48 sessions, family and couple portraits, engagements and proposals, elopements and weddings, fashion editorials, corporate headshots, personal branding, and product photography. She is also the co-founder of a high-end school portrait studio delivering premium, fully in-studio experiences.
With an academic background in Criminal Justice and Community Safety, graduating cum laude, alongside advanced training in photography and neuropsychological evaluation, Karien brings a distinctive blend of technical mastery and psychological insight to her work.
Her photography has been internationally published, award-winning, and exhibited worldwide.
MEET MICHELLE
Michelle is a certified Usui Reiki Master devoted to guiding others toward deep energetic healing, emotional release, and inner balance. With a gentle, intuitive approach, she works with the body’s energy to help dissolve stored emotions and restore harmony on a mind, body, and soul level.
Her practice encompasses Seichem Reiki, Angelic Reiki, Kundalini Reiki, and Quantum Reiki, allowing her to work across multiple energetic frequencies. Michelle is also a qualified Crystal Healing Practitioner and Access Facelift® Practitioner, weaving ancient wisdom with modern energy techniques to support transformation and well-being.
Registered with the Reiki Guild and Access Consciousness®, Michelle continues to expand her intuitive and psychic abilities through ongoing study at the International School of Intuition and Healing. She creates a sacred, nurturing space where clients can reconnect with their true essence, release what no longer serves them, and open to greater alignment, love, and vitality.
MEET RUSHKA
Rushka works with high-performing professionals and public figures who want to understand themselves more deeply—personally, professionally, and relationally. Using applied neuroscience and behavioral psychology, she helps clients uncover the patterns, needs, and drivers shaping how they live, lead, and love.
Her work isn’t about motivation or surface strategy—it’s about clarity, alignment, and insight. With a background in luxury brand strategy, Rushka brings precision, discretion, and emotional intelligence to every engagement, helping clients see themselves clearly so their relationships, choices, and careers truly fit who they are.
MEET SHIRLEY
Shirley is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Tax Consultant with over 25 years’ experience in financial, investment, estate, and retirement planning. She began her career with Liberty in 1998 and now manages a loyal client portfolio at Spectrum Financial Consulting.
Shirley shares her expertise through workshops, articles, and media appearances. She holds a Diploma in Tax Consulting (UNISA), a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning (UFS), and is a member of the Financial Planning Institute.
